The GHG inventory from sanitation areas is based only on transportation and energy consumption. - What is the real contribution of GHG from the various processes used to treat wastewater? - How could we mitigate these emissions? - What are other likely sources of GHG relation with sanitation sewer: lakes (natural or not), rivers, landfills (methane), landfill leachate (nitrogen), etc.?

Objectives - Measure the GHG emissions (N2O and CH4 ) from lakes receiving the treated (or not) wastewater - Help different companies in GHG inventory based on the type of the process used - Adjust to the process for lower emissions - Measure the GHG emissions from wastewater treatment processes that receive landfill leachate
