Physical activity surveillance system in community health promotion programs

Insufficient physical activity (PA) is highly prevalent in Brazil and is associated with adverse health conditions and the risk of non-communicable diseases. To increase PA levels in the population, the Community Physical Activity Program was launched, which has been expanding across the country in the last 10 years. However, these programs still do not have an easy-to-use tool that aggregate the user's clinical information, in addition to management, in order to allow the generation of indicatorsfor monitoring. Searches show that interventions most likely to be successful are those that incorporate monitoring tools, setting goals and providing feedback on performance. The objective of this project is to create health monitoring software for program users, a tool that could be a strategy to qualify the care and improvement of program management, in order to strengthen the sustainability of the policy in the Health System.
