Identify how the General Data Protection Law, Law no. 13.709/18, is applied in the Brazilian Courts, especially on sensitive topics, in order to guide both legal professionals and e-commerce companies.

PROJECT PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION

The “LGPD in Court” project, since 2021, aims to understand the way in which second instance judges in Brazil have applied the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law), with a specific focus on the e-commerce sector. For the execution of the project, a number of criteria were used to assess the degree of doctrinal divergence and the prospects of convergence on sensitive topics.
