Since February 2023, we have been working on the “(In)Justice Maps” Project, supported by Google.org (USD 500,000). Following our initial proposal, the team members were able to build a platform that makes available for the public the visualization of police killing in the state of São Paulo, as well as the status of the investigations.

This project aims to address the lack of consolidated data and clear visualizations that reveal how violence against Black individuals undermines the quality of the rule of law in Brazil. In this context, we stress the lack of accountability in the context of racial violence, especially police killing.
