Antiliberal thinking in Brazilian and Portuguese press
This research focus on a comparative analysis of the development of anti-liberalism in Portugal and Brazil after the constitutional period (1820-1823) until the end of the Civil War in Portugal (1832-1834) and the end of the Regency in Brazil (1831-1840) and its repercussions to this day. There is a direct association between the emergence of public opinion, liberalism and material and social progress that relativizes the conservative current of right-wing thought as relevant to national formation.
