FGV Research Symposium aims to strengthen the structuring of networks of national and international researchers

On August 22, the Research Symposium of the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) began. The event, which will be held until August 26 in the FGV auditorium in São Paulo, aims to strengthen the structuring of networks of national and international researchers. The goal is to promote the development of multidisciplinary research projects with a real impact on national socioeconomic advancement, in line with FGV's mission.

The president of FGV, Professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, opened the event. He emphasized that the main motivations of FGV's applied research area are understanding real problems and proposing solutions to issues that affect the daily lives of the Brazilian population.

"We are undergoing a structural change to have applied research as the driving force of the Fundação Getulio Vargas in all its areas of operation," highlighted the president.

The director of FGV's Research Network, Professor Goret Pereira Paulo, emphasized that the entire symposium was designed with a focus on internationalization and the development of research that brings benefits to society.

"Over the five days, it will be possible to see that the research is structured together with the potential beneficiaries of its results. These beneficiaries follow the development of the research and discuss its results," explained Goret.
