In addition to presenting details about the document that will guide the IDB's support for the country's sustainable development in the coming years, the event will also bring together representatives from the private sector and academia to discuss topics related to sustainability and productivity, infrastructure, social policies, and others.
The new IDB Country Strategy includes measures to increase the impact of the Bank's projects on green opportunities and climate resilience, stimulate growth, and promote a new social agenda.
According to the IDB's country economist in Brazil, José Luiz Rossi Jr, the meeting will be an opportunity for different sectors of society to learn about the strategy in depth. "The construction of the new Country Strategy was a participatory process that involved the Brazilian government, the private sector, academic institutions, and civil society. Now we begin the implementation of this commitment, which aims to boost Brazil's prominent role in responding to universal challenges and bring benefits to all citizens."
