Organized by FGV and the National Council of State Funding Agencies (CONFAP), with support from the British Academy, this workshop will explore what funders and international partners look for in research projects, as well as assess opportunities, strengths, and challenges for Brazilian institutions in global collaboration. The goal is to hear directly from funders and stakeholders about their expectations for partnerships with Brazilian institutions and how these institutions can strategically position themselves.

The event will also examine how institutional structures — particularly Research Development Offices (RDOs) — can serve as critical elements for building more equitable, strategic, and sustainable international partnerships.

The event is by invitation only, but key takeaways and outcomes from the discussions will be shared publicly at a later stage.
